@Bettina: Thanks Bettina!
@Curly: I love that it gets you asking those questions! And even if rhetorical I'm going to answer some :-) In the village grouping together and talking in the field like gardens are a favorite pastime, chatting about the latest gossip (sometimes seemingly insignificant things create havoc), talk about the rains, crops, animals, church, going down into the city/capital etc...the list goes on. they have shops around but evidently not as developed as in the capital. On this particular occasion it was a traditional even that was going on. Usually when a person dies there (my grandma at 104years :-)), they have a ceremony one month after which includes a huge lunch, cutting up I think goat/sheep and cooking , cutting of hair etc. There were more people around the other side but I took a couple of pics and I just had to snap this one to catch some of that mood. Thank you Curly!
@Mhelene: Exactly! Thank you!
@Ludovic Roudet: I love your comment and the mention of a je ne sais quoi effect, I wasn't too sure with the blur here as you know sometimes it works and other times not so much...I do see the still life reference, you remind me of Edouard manets paintings of people in gardens, leisurely and excellently placed only this one is in a different time period and culture. Many thanks Ludo! I'm happy you appreciate the style :)
@Judy aka L@dybug: I betcha if it was it would look really swanky :D and it does look like a feather! but no, it's the back of a man wearing a white top sitting in the bush, if you squint, you'll see another person right by him. Oh it was hot! I thought it was a Sunday too but I just checked the date it was a Saturday. Ah yes, I see how that would look, I wish I'd thought about that before but thank you for that Judy!
@Lena: Thank you Lena! See my answer to him :-))
@Richard: Thank you!
@Ruthiebear: I love that you can see and feel that here, thank you Ruthiebear!
@Frankiess: Thank you so much Frankiess, have a lovely week :)
@Phil Morris: It certainly does and even though it's only been two years since I took this, it feels like forever...thanks Phil!
@kiwisa: It sure is, it's only two years old though, I processed it and tried to capture some age in it. It sure is African too (back in Lesotho), thank you!
@John Jungklaus: Thanks John! A day in the sun, after lunch and some ceremonies. Enjoy your day!
@Steve Rice: Thanks Steve ! Yes it was hot! Even though it really wasn't winter as such...but thanks to some trees and bush there was some good shade.
@Regina G. Santaella: I really like that that's the feeling you get from this one, thanks a lot! It definitely was a hot 'summer-like' day and I wanted to transmit some of that warm feeling here :)
